The aim of the course is to introduce students to the scientific subject of paediatrics and to familiarise them with the physiological development and evolution of the newborn, infant, child and adolescent as well as their associated diseases. At the end of the course they will be able to identify the stages of child development, know the ways in which the longitudinal monitoring of healthy children and the clinical examination and diagnosis of diseases in paediatrics. Familiarity with the pediatrician's way of thinking has the ultimate goal of better communication and collaboration between speech and language therapist and pediatrician.
